Earn your service hours while making a difference at HSGS!

Are you a student looking for a meaningful way to fulfill your school’s community service requirements? Join the team at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah! We offer exciting opportunities for you to gain valuable experience while directly improving the lives of animals in need.

We have two tailored paths to help you reach your goals:

Impact Seekers (20+ Hours):

Want to help animals and have fun doing it? Our Youth Volunteer Program is looking for teams! If you’re 12–15 years old, you and a parent or guardian(18+) can partner up to make a difference together. We ask for a 6-month commitment, and you’ll tackle all your training and tasks as a duo. Ready to join the crew? Just fill out the Youth Volunteer Application and grab a spot for orientation at the adoption center. We can’t wait to meet you!

Community Action (Under 20 Hours):

If you have a need to complete your hours quickly, and cannot make the 6 month commitment, you can make an immediate impact by organizing a donation or fundraising drive that benefits animals in need!

Youth are also welcome to participate in our popular Nuzzle Buddies or Doggy Day Out programs (with a grown up!), which provide vital socialization for our shelter pets!
