Want to give a shelter dog THE best day while they await their forever home? Sign up to participate in HSGS’s Doggy Day Out program! Our staff will match you with an available pup while the two of you plan out an adventure outside of the adoption center! Pup cups, long walks in the park, Netflix time, and of course lots of cuddles and treats are welcomed and encouraged! This program allows deserving pups the opportunity to shine and show the public they are ready for a place to call home! Plus grab a Doggy Passport for epic adventures that unlock awesome prizes – it's a tail-wagging good time for everyone!

Individual(s) walking the dog must be 18 years or older but children are welcome and encouraged to join the fun!

Yes! Doggy Day Out is a GREAT way to give back and can go towards required service hours!

To ensure a safe and stress-free experience for our furry friends, HSGS staff carefully matches participants with the right dog based on medical and behavioral factors.

Doggy Day Out waiver must be read and signed by the responsible party before HSGS dog may leave the property.
Participants must disclose if any other animals are in the home and what their adventure will entail so staff may select the perfect adventure buddy!
