Nuzzle Buddies is a youth reading program at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah that pairs children with adoptable pets in our Adoption Center. During each session, children are invited to read books to our animals in a calm and welcoming environment.

Research has shown that reading to animals can help boost a child’s confidence and reading skills, while also providing our pets with valuable socialization and positive interaction with kids and families.

Nuzzle Buddies is a heartwarming way for young readers to practice their skills while making a difference in the lives of homeless pets.

Interested in scheduling a session?

Parents and guardians are required to stay with the child for the duration of the session.
Nuzzle Buddy takes place Tues-Saturday between 10 am and 11 am.
