Adult Volunteer Programs
Volunteers help in many departments within HSGS!
We welcome kind hearted individuals of all ability levels who are ready to help make a difference at HSGS!

Adult volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer without supervision.
An orientation and training are required to work with animals and assist in certain departments. -

Support. Support our staff, other volunteers, our philosophies, mission, and procedures inside and outside of the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.
Honesty. Be honest and realistic with yourself and us concerning your needs, goals, availability, and capability.
Commitment. Please consider volunteering a serious commitment. Your presence is needed and very much appreciated.
Knowledge. Learn while you are here! The more training you receive the more skills and experience you will gain which will enable you to participate in more volunteer tasks.
Communicate. Let us know what is working and what is not. We are always striving for improvements, and we need your input! Report any concerns or comments to the volunteer coordinator so needs may be assessed and addressed.
