Please Know Before Joining the Waitlist

Demand for our services is currently much greater than our available surgery capacity.

In addition to serving pets owned by the public, Pet Fix also provides spay/neuter surgeries for animals from the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, Chatham County Animal Services, and numerous rescue organizations throughout our region. These organizations have reserved surgery days because every animal adopted from a shelter or rescue in Georgia must be spayed or neutered before adoption. Keeping those programs moving helps save lives by opening kennel space for additional homeless animals and reducing the risk of unnecessary euthanasia.

Our public waitlist currently includes more than 600 households for owned pets or TNVR, so it may take some time before we are able to offer you an appointment. We understand this can be frustrating, and we sincerely appreciate your patience.

Our team continues to perform surgeries at a pace comparable to last year - we have completed 2,906 spay/neuter surgeries this year (through 6/24), compared with 2,949 at this same point last year. Unfortunately, demand for affordable spay/neuter services has grown even faster than our capacity, which has resulted in longer wait times despite our team's continued efforts.

The good news is that we have a new veterinarian joining our team in August, which will allow us to gradually increase appointment availability. While we expect this to improve access over time, it will still take time to work through the existing waitlist.

If you join the waitlist, our clinic team will contact you as appointments become available. Please do not submit multiple requests or call or email to check on your place in line, as our team is unable to provide individual waitlist updates. Additional submissions and follow-up inquiries do not affect your position on the waitlist and take valuable time away from scheduling appointments and caring for animals. We appreciate your patience and will reach out as soon as an appointment becomes available for you.
