Board Officers

Vandana Murty Abrams
Associate Attorney, Bouhan Falligant LLP
Vandana Abrams is an attorney with the law firm, Bouhan Falligant LLP. , Vandana became a patron of HSGS within a month of moving to Savannah in 2013 when she took home her first fur-baby, Bella. Since then, Vandana volunteered at various HSGS events until eventually joining the Board in 2017. Vandana is currently the Director of Governance for the Board and is committed to making the Greater Savannah area a better place for pets and their people. A reluctant weekend-jogger and avid dog cuddler, Vandana lives in Savannah with her husband and their two spoiled dogs.
Brian Harn
Vice President
President, The Print Shop of Savannah; CEO, The Shave Barber Company, Atlanta
Brian Harn, a native Savannahian and Benedictine graduate (’91), began his career in printing as The Print Shop’s delivery person in 1989. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1995, Brian returned home to Savannah to serve as general manager of The Print Shop and later became the company’s president with its purchase in 2000. Brian, his son Jack and their ridiculously large Bernese Mountain dog, Riley, currently live near Forsyth Park in downtown Savannah. Brian is a true animal lover, historic preservationist and loves spending time outdoors, especially on the water. Brian has served as president of his neighborhood home owners association and as a United Way volunteer. In 2017, after more than 25 years in the printing industry, Brian needed to spice things up so he purchased The Shave Barber Company in Atlanta. Brian now splits his time between Savannah and Atlanta and enjoys all of what each city offers.
Chris Player
Vice President, Regions Insurance Group
Chris Player is an insurance broker with Regions Insurance Group in Savannah, GA. Chris has 12 years of experience in the insurance industry and is a graduate of the University of Georgia. Chris is a member of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador Council, Savannah Jaycees and is a Board member of Heads Up Guidance Services (HUGS). He enjoys spending time with Ozzie, his 15-year old dog, friends and family. Chris also enjoys traveling, attending sporting events and concerts, and playing baseball in the Savannah Adult Baseball League.

Bryna Gordon
Manager of Corporate Communications, Memorial Health
Bryna Gordon is the manager of corporate communications at Memorial Health. She served as Humane Society president in Tallahassee, Florida before moving to the Savannah area. While in Tallahassee, she also served on the city’s animal shelter control board overseeing the staff and daily operations of the shelter. In addition, she was a board member for St. Francis Wildlife Refuge. Since moving to Savannah, she has been an active volunteer with several animal rescue groups including PAWS of Effingham. Bryna lives on a farm in Effingham County with her husband, daughter, and several rescued animals.
Doll Miller
Founding Partner of the Georgia Eye Institute
Elizabeth Miller, M.D., is a founding partner of the Georgia Eye Institute and is Director of refractive surgery. Dr. Miller received her undergraduate degree from Rollins College in Florida and her Doctor of Medicine degree at SUNY Upstate Medical School in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Miller did her post-graduate training at Wills Eye Hospital and completed a fellowship in oculoplastics at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester. After completing her fellowship Dr. Miller came to Savannah to practice and in 1987 joined Georgia Eye Institute. Dr. Miller is a board-certified ophthalmologist that specializes in cataract and anterior segment surgery, oculoplastics, refractive surgery, including LASIK, and has performed thousands of successful procedures.
Bridget Michalski, CSW
Managing Partner Savannah Wine Cellar
Bridget Patrick Michalski is the managing partner of Savannah Wine Cellar. After graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in Finance, she worked briefly in the mortgage industry before following her passion to pursue food and wine as a career. She has worked in retail, wholesale and winery operations in 5 states. After her husband, Nicholas, retired from the Air Force, they made Savannah their home with their 9 year old Alaskan Malamute-mix, Ranger, who they adopted in Texas in 2011. She is excited to be a part of HSGS to help promote animal adoption and welfare in the Savannah area.
Summer Rogers
Student Success Adviser, SCAD
Summer Rogers is a Student Success Adviser at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She moved to Savannah in 2018 with her husband Adam and dog Lucy. Prior to her move, Summer worked at Troy University in Brunswick, GA for 10 years and was very involved with her local community. She is passionate about working with students and volunteering, which are often connected. She has volunteered through various organizations and chaired several Bark for Life events. She loves the outdoors, animals, historic buildings, and festivals.
Cal Chancy
Owner, Palmedical Surgical Solutions
Cal Chancy is the owner of a medical device distributorship here in the Savannah area called Palmedical Surgical Solutions. Cal has 10 years of experience working with our local Neuro, Spine and Orthopedic surgeons and he is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He enjoys spending time with his wife Katie and two children, Lillie Kate (6) and Harrison (4). Cal also enjoys playing music with his friends and other local musicians and during the Fall, you'll probably hear him scream GO DAWGS!

Dr. Erika Finch

Dr. Erika earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University in 2016 and continued to the University of Louisville to complete a 2-year residency as Chief Resident, earning a pediatric certificate and Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry. Before entering dentistry, Dr. Finch earned a Master of Science in Biotechnology in 2011 but was drawn to Pediatric Dentistry because of her love of children. Dr. Erika's passion for pediatric dentistry starts with her love of children. Her goal as a pediatric dentist is to create a compassionate, positive, and fun environment so that your child may enjoy their dental visit, receive the care they need, and may overcome traditional dental fears. In addition to pediatric dentistry, Dr. Erika has served as a Children's and Hospital Advocate at the Center for Women and Children, has volunteered with the Special Olympics and has traveled to Haiti, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama and Costa Rica on dental mission trips. During these trips, Dr. Erika provided comprehensive care to many children in orphanages.
