Keeping your dog or cat up-to-date on annual vaccinations that prevent highly contagious and potentially fatal diseases is essential to your pet’s health and well-being. The following will be available:

• 1-year Rabies -$10
• Bordetella (Kennel Cough) - $15
• Da2PPV (Canine Distemper) - $15
• FVRCP (Feline Distemper) - $15
• Heartworm test (dogs) - $25
• FIV/FeLV test (cats) - $30
• Microchips - $15


**Flea/tick and heartworm preventative will also be available for purchase. Price is based on weight. Heartworm preventative can only be purchased with proof of a negative heartworm test.

The shot clinic will run from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Please make note that this is NOT a drive-through clinic. Pets are seen on a first come, first served basis. No appointment necessary. Every dog must be on a leash and every cat in a carrier.

This event is open to the public and the community is invited and encouraged to attend as HSGS celebrates its 2016 accomplishments and talks about its future.

“The past year was full of change and progress towards becoming a proactive animal welfare organization. With the opening of Pet Fix Savannah and changes in our sheltering operations in 2016, we made a difference in the lives of pets and people we serve. We are excited to share some of these stories with you during the Community Impact Meeting & Breakfast.” says Michelle Thevenin, Executive Director.

The breakfast event will take place at Pet Fix Savannah, our low-cost, spay/neuter clinic, located at 7215 Sallie Mood Drive.

Pick of the Litter Thrift Shop at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah will hold its popular quarterly book sale in the shelter parking lot at 7215 Sallie Mood Drive. All “parking lot” books, videos and CDs will be just 25¢!

Don’t forget to visit the rest of the thrift store because, as an added bonus for our bargain hunters, the thrift store will offer additional sales. Come early for the best selection.

All proceeds from book and thrift shop sales benefit the Humane Society for Greater Savannah and the pets in our care.

The Humane Society for Greater Savannah is excited to announce that the dogs from Class 56 of Operation New Hope will be available for adoption immediately following their graduation ceremony!

Join the Humane Society for Greater Savannah and the Chatham County Sheriff's Office on Saturday, March 25, from 12 PM – 2 PM in the parking lot outside the Chatham County Jail on Carl Griffin Drive for an Operation New Hope adoption event. Potential adopters are encouraged to bring their own dogs for a meet and greet. Adoption fees are $150.
