Keeping your dog or cat up-to-date on annual vaccinations that prevent highly contagious and potentially fatal diseases is essential to your pet’s health and well-being. The following will be available:

• 1-year Rabies -$10
• Bordetella (Kennel Cough) - $15
• Da2PPV (Canine Distemper) - $15
• FVRCP (Feline Distemper) - $15
• Heartworm test (dogs) - $25
• FIV/FeLV test (cats) - $30
• Microchips - $15


**Flea and heartworm preventative will also be available for purchase. Price is based on weight. Heartworm preventative can only be purchased with proof of a negative heartworm test.

The shot clinic will run from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Please make note that this is NOT a drive-through clinic. Pets are seen on a first come, first served basis. No appointment necessary. Every dog must be on a leash and every cat in a carrier.

The Humane Society for Greater Savannah is excited to announce that the dogs from Class 58 of Operation New Hope will be available for adoption immediately following their graduation ceremony!

Join the Humane Society for Greater Savannah and the Chatham County Sheriff's Office on Saturday, May 6, from 12 PM – 2 PM in the parking lot outside the Chatham County Jail on Carl Griffin Drive for an Operation New Hope adoption event. Potential adopters are encouraged to bring their own dogs for a meet and greet. Adoption fees are $150.

It's time, once again, for the Humane Society for Greater Savannah’s 17th Annual Doggie Carnival on Sunday, May 7th, from noon to 4 pm in Forsyth Park. This family (and canine!) friendly festival features fun for everyone – big and small!

Admission to the carnival is free and all proceeds benefit the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.

Our four-legged guest can partake in the doggie derby, doggie agility equipment, paw print art, pet paint, doggie pools, tests to see if they would do well as emotional support dogs, doggie and me photo booths, dog treat decorating, doggie fortune telling, doggie ice cream and much more!

Our human friends can enjoy food truck fare and there will be beer for the 21 and over crowd!
