Clinic will be held at the Tybee Island YMCA
Paul Ganem, his wife and daughter of Johnnie Ganem's hosted Wag For Wine, a wine tasting benefit for the Humane Society February 7th from 6-8 in their banquet hall, the Rebel Room. In attendance were many of Savannah's downtown animal lovers. Garibaldi's sponsored the delicious food for the evening and many wines were offered for a tasting.

For just $9.95, you get a photo of your pet with Santa Claus and a frame. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.

November Shot Clinic:
Special thanks to our volunteers and vets! The shot clinic helped get over 300 pets up-to-date on vaccinations and/or microchipped!

The ASPCA Save More Lives Challenge has officially ended. Results will be announced on Nov. 30. Thank you to the entire community for your support throughout the challenge.
During the challenge, HSGS has shined. Here are just a few of the ways the Savannah community has helped us out:
*Saved 758 animals since Aug 1
*Had over 15 successful events in the area
*1st place in the ASPCA community engagement voting contest
The ASPCA will now confirm our qualifications and will announce official winners on Nov. 30. We are anxiously waiting. Stay tuned!

Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 from Noon to 5pm: Wag-o-Ween!
Trick-or-treat with your dog and compete in a Costume Contest with great prizes!
Take your costumed dog trick or treating in downtown Savannah. (Humans often come in costume as well!) More than 85 businesses will give out free dog cookies, and dog-friendly dining establishments will be designated. There will also be a Raffle and Costume Contest.
Prizes for Costume Contest include donations from participating businesses. There are 10 categories including: Best Owner/Animal Look-a-like, Best Couple, Most Creative, and many more.
The fun begins at Canine Palace (612 Abercorn) at noon. $5.00 donation per adult; children and dogs free.

Join us for Savannah's FIRST EVER "PUP" CRAWL on Thursday October 27th beginning at 5pm.
Souvenir cups with "Pup" Crawl Maps will be sold for $10
Each stop on the "Pup" Crawl will fill your cup with BEER!
Approximately 10 stops in the City Market area will be participating - some of these stops even LET YOUR DOGS COME IN!!
The "Pup" Crawl will start at 5pm with a "Yappy" Hour at The Grateful Hound where you and your pup can enjoy food, beer and treats!!!!
The Crawl will continue throughout the evening - go at your own pace - join in anytime you can!!!
