- Keep in mind children and four-legged friends should be included in the final decision to adopt

All adoption applications are on a first come, first served basis. Multiple applications for the same pet will be reviewed in the order they are received. All applications will be held for review for 24 hours or for one business day, depending on the specifics of the application.
Under NO circumstance do we do same day adoptions for dogs! There is a mandatory 24-48 hour hold after you fill out the application

All adopted pets are surgically sterilized. If the animal is too young or otherwise unable to be spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter, a $100 deposit will be required before the animal is sent home to guarantee that the surgery will be completed.
Several trainers offer discounted obedience classes for pets adopted from the Humane Society. They are Carol’s Pampered Pets (912) 355-2249; Lora Owens (912) 897-5913; Petsmart (912) 925-1116.
The Humane Society reserves the right to deny any adoption application submitted for any reason. These decisions are based on the standards set by the Board of Directors outlining humane care and responsible pet ownership.
